First off there has been numerous articles and studies done that show that BPL (Broadband over Power Lines) causes interferance. Since the FCC has to enforce no interferance rules and regs why is this still out there. If the power companies can't make this product safe and easy to use and doesn't cause any interferance then the FCC shouldn't even allow it. I think the BPL needs to be moved to the garbage can and not brought up anymore.....or come down with heavy fines.

There are even articles that show that it doesn't make money anyways. So get rid of the subject ASAP.

- Apple has control over how, and in what way we use our Internet! I have comcast cable currently, as my ISP, that I pay good money for. Apple has no rights, to control the way I access my comcast Internet! Apple will not allow many formats, such as Flash, that are what make the Internet great! When you buy an iPad, or iPhone, from Apple, their should be no restrictions! Especially, if we are paying our Internet Service Providers. We all pay good money for our Internet Experience, and these stupid restrictions violate our Freedom of Communication! If I am paying $49.99 per month for Comcast Internet, why does Apples have the right to change the way we experience the Internet using their iPad Tablet Computer? We should have all right to access any format, on any device! I can understand, if Apple does not allow Flash, and other Codac's, while we are accessing 3G Only. Yet, when we come home to our WiFi/Paid Service, we should have the right to use the Internet as we please! Apple should not infringe upon our home service. Flash deserves to be apart of Internet service. Not, controlled by Apple. The iPad tablet is a computer, like their Laptop's, All-in-One's, and the other products, that ALL Support Flash. The iPad is in the same sense, a Apple Computer! You do not even have to sign a Contract with any Internet Service Provider with it. Apples Macbook Air, iMac, and iWhatever Computers, offer Flash based codac's. Why should Apple tell us that we cannot access Flash on their Tablet Computers? It's a friggen touchscreen computer! If anything, Apple should only have the right to not provide Flash Based codac's, ONLY in 3G Wireless Mode! But, when you are connected to your (Paid Internet Service Provider), through your WiFi network, Apple should have no authority to irradiate Flash based technologies, that limit the way we interact Online! This should be a violation of Term of Service, through our Internet Service Providers. Right? This control, should be illegal, and am surprised that the FCC let Apple do this! Why should they determine, a different way of using the Internet? Why do they not accept Flash, while we are connected to our Paid Internet Providers? What gives them this authority?

Windows Tablet Computers, and many other Android based phones, allow the use of Flash based Codac's. While at home or not. So, how in the **** do they have the right to tell us how to use a device, connected to our paid service providers? Apple cannot say, to go buy one of our computers, to access Flash, when an iPad is a Tablet Computer, Period! No Contracts! They may win in the iPhone restriction arena, but I do not see how the iPad does not have the ability to function like any other computer. The FCC should know that this is a violation of our freedom of Paid Service, and not interfere!

I would like a genuine response, from the FCC, about why Apple has this type of control. I would like a clear, and honest explanation, (Why Apple has the right to infringe upon, and control our Internet Usage). Also, Why they have this control, in the first place? Don't we have the Freedom in this country, to access the Internet with No Strings Attached? People are not happy with Apples Attitude towards restrictions, and the FCC, should be stepping in about now, to change this nonsense. I am sick, that the FCC is allowing this type of behavior! This is Wrong, in so many ways! They have no right to tell us what we can, and can't do! This is a simple fix Guys. I thought the FCC, is what prevents this type of control. People are using the Internet, as their only means of finding a good job, as well. And, if Apple says that this form, or that video you need to study with is not allowed, then this can prevent any job growth in this country. No job, because the application format, did not work with an Apple Computer, is sick! People deserve the Internet, in anyway that it is available to us. Apple has no right to tell us what we can, and cannot access, over stupidity!

Does the FCC really want to drive Shotgun with Apple? Or does the FCC want to take control, and Demand Apple to sit in the back, or get in the Trunk! LOL! If Apple is not violating our rights, then all Americans, and even people Internationally, need an explanation! (Why Apple has these rights, in the first place?)

I want the FCC to take charge of this Corruption, and tell Apple Inc., that they are restricting use the peoples use of their Communications! Please, the FCC needs to change Apples behavior! It is our freedom as Americans, to communicate over the Internet, any way we please!

Apple is taking charge, FAST! If the FCC has no say in this control, or are allowing this, then what is the FCC really about?

People are paying good money for their Internet Service, and deserve a rich Internet Experience! I thought the FCC was established to prevent these type of restrictions, from companies... Isn't that what the FCC has been about? Our Freedom of Online Communications? Why does Apple have the right, to not allow Flash Support?

I hope for a good response this time, because I have not heard a word from you guys!

This is a big deal! And, cannot stress this enough! Me, and about 90% of Apple users know that Flash Support should be available. They should NOT, have any rights, to prevent the way we use our paid Internet Service, Period!

An Internet hosted real time wideband spectrum scope from FCC offices in various large cities similar to a weather radar map that can be clicked on and zoomed in on by Internet users.
This will show the average person where most RF energy is being used in that location.
The scope picture can have delineations on it that show the boundaries of the different allocations and if zoomed in enough possibly even pop up the licensee information out of the database when a particular frequency is highlighted. No need to demodulate the content of the transmission but merely show its signal strength and bandwidth possibly its modulation type as well. Show from below the AM broadcast band up to the Gigahertz range to include satellite and radar systems.

At the FCBA/ETPC lunch on 1/14 it became clear that not only the public was kept in the dark about petitions gathering dust in the Secretary's Office but that even the 8th Floor advisers don't know about petition status, especially for older petitions.

While maybe there might be some justification for not announcing every petition that is filed, if you think that way at least reveal a histogram of the ages of petitions that have not been either put out for comment or dismissed.

Certainly the 8th Floor should be kept informed about petitions that have not been acted on and held accountable.

Many of the comments listed here regarding CB radios could be taken care of if the FCC would just enforce the existing regulations.
Some that are ignored frequently -
4 watt maximum power output. You do realize that anyone can walk in off the street to just about any CB shop and buy a 1000 watt 'kicker'?
No tampering with CB radio internals - ignored by every CB shop in the country
CB shops advertising their services every 5 minutes on channel 19? Also banned by regulations
Foul-mouthed trash talking? Banned by regulations already
Long-winded preachers who can't get air time on FM and tie up channel 19 for 30+ minutes with their particular brand of preaching? FCC regulations limit any broadcast to 5 minutes or less if I recall correctly.

If the FCC would actually enforce these regulations, most of the other comments about it would be taken care of.

I know the FCC can't be everywhere - but most of the usage violations occur in the nation's largest cities, where anyone with a CB radio can hear them. CB shops are almost always next to a truck stop advertising their services on the radio any time they don't have a customer.

With the digital television switch, all frequencies above channel 51 have been re-allocated for other uses. Decades ago, this same process took away frequencies above channel 69. No matter what the greedy telecoms claim, they do not NEED the remaining TV spectrum. They only WANT to destroy free over-the-air TV so that they can get into the bank accounts of the remaining Americans who do not yet pay for television.

Taking more spectrum away from OTA TV will be a HUGE financial burden on local broadcasters, who will then need to purchase and install new equipment in many cases. It will also be another burden to the American public, who not even a year ago went through the process of the digital transition. Now, with their home systems working correctly, many would need new antennas if their local channels change because of this frequency re-allocation. The consilidation of channels will also mean more interference between broadcasters. It could also force the use of more sub-channels, which will degrade the picture quality due to reduced bandwidth. All of this will lead more people to pay TV, which is just what the greedy telecoms are hoping and expecting will happen.
