Breaking up the Comcast aquisition of NBC/Universal
Even though it has already went through, I felt it was a major mistake of the FCC to allow this aquisition to fall through. It has absolutely NO positive effects to consumers and creates an even bigger monopoloy having a major stake in multiple forms of media. I'm really sick of the government not protecting citizens from growing monopolies.
A thought that the government should have when coming across this is not just what the negative effects of it are but what are the positive effects. If there are no positive effects, then there is no point in pushing it through.

Comcast has effective local monopolies in some areas. They need to be under the microscope as a 'utility' instead of being allowed to end up controlling a major content provider as well.
