Real Social Networks will enable Ensemble Computing / Internet of Things
As Dr. Robert Atkinson reported to the FCC, “it’s clear that a new architecture is needed…the Internet of the present will not become the Internet of Future: there is no migration path.” The historical solution has always been to increase bandwidth because
there has never been another choice. This series of incremental improvements for 30 years has only delayed the inevitable traffic routing overload, and the true problem of networking will never get solved without a fundamental shift.
The Q. will perform better in every measurable way, allowing additional users onto the network without additional overhead. This will allow EcoNode (Ether2 Community Network Operators & Developers) to reduce capital expenditures while offering a new age of ensemble computing where the collective wisdom of groups will enable higher trust models, better sensitivity to malware, and self configuration. Bottom Line: Any provider that incorporates our technology will have a decided market advantage, whether it be a WiFi, WiMAX, LTE, Data Center or Carrier Class application.
Distributed Queued Switch Architecture (DQSA) is the bottleneck eliminating technology that we refer to as “The Q”. Because of near-perfect performance, The Q. eliminates traditional routing, extending battery life and providing stable quality of service (QoS) at layer 2 under any condition. Our goal is to use wired lines at 95% throughput, or wireless at 85% throughput in order to provide broadband for the price of a regular telephone line.
Ether2’s first alpha customer is UC, Irvine, where medical researchers are using our MAC for motion capture wireless sensors on preterm infants. We have also been selected by J.P. Norair, (lead engineer, DASH7) for the wireless backhaul application in DASH7’s low power sensor networks.
DASH7 has over 50 member companies including Lockheed and Texas Instruments.
