Keith Gilabert, "I would like to see TV cable and satelite rates drop."
We need more competition. I agree with the fact that there are many more programing choices then there were 10 years ago, but at the same time, prices have risen over 100%. We need more carriers and therefore increase competition to bring prices lower.

Rates hiked alright, but look at these ads copied from the web today:

Sure they could argue how expensive long ad cost, but they can save their "come take the bait" verbiage and tell us the truth that the advertised price is artificially adjusted and specific requirements. If the ad is focused on price and speed, then restrictions relating to those aspects must be disclosed along with general restrictions and requirements of multi-service purchase, and etc.
Internet communication has become like electricity - an essential part of daily life - and it, therefore, cannot be expensive. Companies are going "paperless" for all reasons, and people expect internet communications to be normal course. You can say go to the library or get a cup of coffee and use WiFi from Starbuck or McDonald, but is it that easy? There are peripheral restraints that could hinder WiFi access from those places.
Internet connections must be made affordable, therefore available, to everyone because the trend of the society is moving toward technology and the make-up of society does not leave people behind.
