Allow Direct TV and Dish Network to carry Comcast Sportsnet--Philadelphia
I have considered switching to Direct TV because it is cheaper, however, Comcast holds all of the regional viewing rights to the Phillies, Flyers and 76ers so I would only be able to watch my favorite teams if they are on a national telecast.

I have comcast and I can't even get CSN because comcast broadcasts NY stations in my area even though I live closer to Philly. I hate NY and now I'm hating comcast because they feed me this ****.
Comcast should have no legal way to keep Direct TV customers from accessing Philly sports programming; it’s flat out ridiculous and should be changed immediately! Comcast is holding Philly sports fans *******. They know they’re the only game in town in terms of local sports so they think and act like a monopoly. Dealing with them and their ever changing rates reminded me a little of that line from GoodFellas - “F… you, pay me”.
I have Direct TV and love the service. Here’s an idea for you Comcast, try offering a competitive a service at a competitive price and you might not have to worry about thousands of customers flocking to another service provider when (or if) you finally release the strangle hold on Philly sports coverage.
I switched to Direct TV to save money. Now I am outraged that I will be unable to watch ANY of the Phillies games for the next 2 seasons. Oh sure I could add the MBL additional package but I refuse to pay an extra $200 to watch baseball. This is ridiculous!!!!!
Please give me my **** Philly Sports!!!!
Please make it happen. Unfair that we either choose to save money and switch to satellite or pay whatever Comcast or FIOS decides to charge because they have the ability to air Flyers and Phillies games. There are monopoly laws in the United States of America right?

I have Dish Network, and ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. I used to be upset that Dish carried Comcast Sports Net programming from other sections of the country (like Florida, Washington, New England, etc), and was ready to cancel my Dish subscription after the Phillies re-signed Cliff Lee in December. Then I realized the issue isn't Dish, it is the greedy "Evil Empire" that is Comcast Philadelphia. Throw in the fact that if Comcast offered the same low prices and benefits that Dish and Directv have (with MUCH better DVR options, and more HD), perhaps they would already have the subscriptions of those of us voting for it to go through. I vote to allow Dish Network and Directv to have access to all of the Philadelphia Comcast Sports channels (CSN and CN8). The fact that Verizon FiOS has it already is also a slap in the face, as that service still isn't available in most of the city (I reside in Northeast).
As a life long Flyers and Phillies fan and supporter of DirectTv I find it hard to believe that this corporate greed and monopoly is aloud to continue. Philadelphia is my closest sports market and in NO way am I able to watch any home games due to comcast. Even if I was to purchase the Center Ice Package (for 79.00 non the less) The games would be BLACKOUT. FCC HELP!!!

As a die hard Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers fan, I find it outrageous that I have to miss an entire season due to the disputes of executives at broadcasting companies. This is just another way the rich get richer at the working man's expense.

Wanted to comment on this post about the comcast channels. I know that DISH Network has some of the comcast channels avail in area's that you can get your programing from. I know this I work at DISH and work with programing. DISH does have a lot better channel line up that Direct TV and wont make you go broke. For info on the channel line up and package prices go to www.dish.com
What a joke. Comcast has us in a stranglehold in the Philadelphia sports market. I need this to happen, because I can't keep paying these wild bills. They are all laughing their way to the bank.

I have direct TV in my motor home and was completely disappointed that I could not watch the Philadelphia Phillies on CSN. I thought the FCC's job was to see that the air ways are available to everyone equally. I applaud the decision to make Comcast make available CSN Philadelphia to DirectTV Thank you FCC
