My idea is...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

    • Map by frequency using GIS with drill downs for licensee/permittee information...

Make maps available which are searchable by frequency with drill downs (by mouse-over) to acquire licensee/permittee information, power, estimated micro/millivolt per meter field strengths, etc. This will save applicants engineering new stations from having to waste FCC's time with amendments to their applications because the FCC's database is more complete than their own.

      • Maps indicating spatial placement of broadband links, like fiber, and routers.

I would love to see machine-readable maps (KML?) indicating spatial placement of broadband links, like fiber and microwave, and routers, datacenters, and so on. These would be highly useful to the research and greater business communities. To the degree telecommunications firms operate in the public interest, these data should be seen as being partly owned by the public and their representatives. I wouldn't mind paying something for these, in order to keep nuisance users and usage low.
