Be Alert Bert is a new children’s television series designed to be both educational and entertaining. This series expands upon traditional children’s entertainment, addressing important safety issues and raising safety awareness in every episode.
Each episode combines a variety of different devices, which include: costumed characters, puppets, original songs, story telling, and computer animation, both in a virtual world and combined with live action in the Bee Tips. Buzz Words present the topic of the day and Live At the Hive – a news magazine show parody, often summarizes the topics encountered in the episode. Be Alert Bert promises to capture the interest and educate children everywhere.
The writers and producers of this exciting new concept-based TV show realize that to teach about something as important as safety, it is necessary to first capture the child’s imagination, and not preach or talk down to them. To this end, Be Alert Bert relies heavily on a very upbeat and entertaining comedy, in an Aladdin meets *** Wee’s Playhouse, meets Sesame Street, meets Mighty Mouse, meets Dinosaurs, meets Full House, style of show. With this approach, we hope to encourage parents to sit and watch this program with their children. Each episode also includes and underlying theme that will promote concepts like responsibility, sharing, understanding and honesty.
