Please restrict the use of profanity and bad language in TV commercials.
As parents we work very hard to monitor what TV shows our kids are watching. However, it seems many TV commercials are starting to contain more and more bad language.

AS an adult, I do not want to watch a good tv show only to be blasted with profanity. Its offensive and extremely distracting from the show. At some point, I will no longer watch a tv show that does this.

Friends and I are ex Marines and angry about morons thinking profanity is all right. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to offend indiscriminately. There is a common sense rule. If you offend me I will give it back to you. We served this country to protect freedoms but there is a line between offending others you do not know, It is not too difficult to understand for most.

I was enjoying Suits until the profanities increased and degraded the show. I would not go and buy the series now.
Disappointed. -

Suits was such a good show but the bad choice of language in it has made it cringe worthy....doesnt sit well with the characters and only degrades the show....very poor judgement on the writers/producers part....very disappointed...

It is totally unnecessary, horrible, and offensive that the Suits TV Show has decided to take my Lord's name in vain all the time on the show. The show is well written and it certainly doesn't need that to improve ratings - therefore it must be just another way to continue to desensitize viewers and force them to accept this horrible blasphemy! I for one will boycott all its sponsors and have started a boycott on social media.

What does prophanity have to do with anything? All they are are words. If it upsets you, it's because YOU gave it that emotion. Just several letters put together to form a word. Do you really think that your child is not going to hear it somewhere else? Maybe if you lived under a rock. It's just silly to hear that having certain words and on the TV means I am immoral. It's just completly ignorant.

You guys are a bunch of tight ***** that worry too much. I mean, in the Capital One commercial he just said ****. Which isn't nearly the worst by any means. Stop being such uptight worrying pansies.

I support all of you in all you do. I agree that **** is the worst thing to be seen, or heard, or said. I went so far as to remove the 8 key from all my devices so that the * will never see the light of day again. I have also invested in a special TV that allows you to censor things that you do not want to see, or to have your kids see. It comes with this device called a remote. It allows you to change the images you see before your very eyes, or to remove the sound from their mouths. I feel like a sorcerer when I do this. Please don't add me to your witch hunt for lazy parents.

The Capital One commercial with profanity is disgusting. They may think all people talk this way, but they don't!

You can restrict your television viewing to shows that you feel are suitable for your family and yourself, but you have no control over when an ad is going to air. If we allow this word today, there will be other words tomorrow and no one knows what else. We must let Capital One know how the public feels. The FCC needs to take action.

I am sick of Commercials! The latest is the Capital One commercial featuring Samuel L Jackson cursing. Why bother bleeping out words and editing the shows for language and content if you're just going to allow the commercials to use foul language, show nudity and use *** to sell every product? The "I only need 7 minutes" commercial for Liquid Plumbr is disgusting! Especially the extended version where the man throws down a large pipe in front of the woman at the end. Even the Rice Krispie Treat commercial with the pregnant woman and the boy asking "How'd THAT happen?" I am about ready to throw the television out the door! Kids see this stuff every single day and commercials like these are forcing them to see and hear things they are not ready to comrehend for yet. I believe in being honest with my kid and we talk about things. Little kids seeing thes commercials everyday are getting the message that it's okay to talk like that and act like that and exposes them to ****** situations before they are emotionally and mentally ready to comprehend such things. It is horrible that we take time to select something to watch as a family, only to have to dive for the remote because the commercials are worse than the show! We're not uptight in our house, but we also don't want our kid walking around cursing at people and thinking everything around him has a ****** angle. We want him to be a kid before he has to start thinking about such things. When I see these commercials advertising in such ways I add them to my list of products/companies I won't use or purchase.

I just heard the Capital One commercial with the **** word. Why do we allow these people of such poor language to broadcast. I refuse to support Capital One, won't use anything they support.

Capital one commercial with "****" Dodge commercial with "****". Really!! All before 7pm. Shows only a lack of intelligence. Aren't there enough words to show exclamation without these choices. You really want young children going around repeating this. Shame shame.

I believe that the FCC should return to the standards used in the 70's for todays' television programming. American television needs to clean up their act. Our future is now. Has our society improved since the 70's or are we living in troubling times? You decide!
