Please show age-appropriate commercials during Children's programming times.
My children were watching the movie "Imagine That" this afternoon and then commercial/preview came on for a horror show called "The Originals". The commercial showed all types of blood, torture and gore that was completely inappropriate for children. I would never let my children watch that show, nor is that show geared toward children. So why would a Program Director air that preview during a movie that is definitely not the demographic for that particular show? I am asking the Programming Directors to take a hint from the Motion Picture Association and only show previews that are appropriate for the audience in which you are providing programming at that time. After our children see a 30-60 minute preview of omething "horrifying", it is the parents that have to stay up at night with them to calm their fears. Let kids be kids!!! They do not have to be exposed to everything. We as parents are doing our best to monitor the shows but we are not in control of what commercials will be played. Most times, I am able to change the channel before they see something inappropriate, but other times, it comes on so fast, the damage is already done before I can change it. Also I am tired of the programming trying to force me to have a "conversation" with my children about things they are not ready to handle. As a parent, and a very good one at that, I know when my children are ready for things and when they are not. A programmer off in a little office should not have the right to determine this.

Ditto. Watching "The parent trap" (1998) on "E", and there have been repeated commercials for "The arrangement" which is full of garbage for kids to be seeing. There was also a commercial for a horror movie, "Get out". Why are they allowed to show this complete and total garbage at 5:30? We almost never have had this channel on, but wanted to watch the movie. I shouldn't have to worry about my kids seeing stuff like this during a kid movie.
