  1. pay attention to the road.

my dad is a professional driver and what he told me when i first got my permit was to keep my eyes on the road. then he proceeded to keep telling me this until the act of looking away from the road or my mirrors would make me uncomfortable. i can honestly say now that i have not crashed because i wasn't paying attention to my driving, going too fast maybe.

  3. check out a new product that a friend of mine invented at www.dock-n-lock.com. this device disables a car until the cell phone is stored

see dock-n-lock.com for the greatest idea ever. this will end distracted driving once and for all, and it can also protect your vehicle from being stolen. awesome!

  6. Lock the phone in the glove compartment

My son locks his phonein the glove compartment. That way he has it with him and has to stop the car to use it.

Take them, as part of public school circulum, on a field trip to wrecking yards to see the wrecked cars and speak about distracted driving and drunk driving...both
