pay attention to the road.
my dad is a professional driver and what he told me when i first got my permit was to keep my eyes on the road. then he proceeded to keep telling me this until the act of looking away from the road or my mirrors would make me uncomfortable. i can honestly say now that i have not crashed because i wasn't paying attention to my driving, going too fast maybe.
