Well I am sitting on the fence on this. I am a Ham Radio Operator and I see why most government agencies try to use us as their fall back. It would be nice to see AR thrown in here as just a backup service only type of clause. I do agree that we need to have an emergency radio service, but in reality each of the different emergency branches should be supplying it's own radios and equipment. On a National level I can see them having something portable and mobile.

I agree...this is something that needs to be shown on the Front page so that people can see the types of violations that have occured. Also describing the outcome as well would be nice. Did they just pay the fine? Did they fix the equipment? It would be nice to see the outcome.

Well I say either an either or situation here. Either get rid of the rules or simply increase the man power to enforce the rules. I would say make it hard to sell the items to people who don't have a license with a heavy penalty to the company that does sell them to unlicensed users. I think the best way would to simply get rid of the rules...especially now since there are probably a ton of these devices out there.

I agree with this. CB should go back to being a licensed product and a small fee as well as getting a call sign. Or simply just get rid of them and make this band into a business class product and anyone caught using it with out a license get a $5000 fee and/or jail time.
