I have recently learned that the FCC is considering allowing frontal nudity and the "F" word on Prime Time television. Our family will not be watching TV during Prime Time any longer if this new policy is adopted. The reason the FCC gives for relaxing the current standards is that it is receiving millions of complaints and cannot keep up with all of them. It makes no sense to allow more profanity and vulgarity on TV because the FCC cannot keep up with the current level of complaints. This is the public's way of asking for tighter controls on public television's programming. The public is not asking for the demolition of standards. The last director of the FCC did nothing with any of the complaints that the FCC received during his tenure. Instead of loosening standards, I suggest that the FCC do the job it was set up to do in the first place and begin by enforcing the current standards.
